I always enjoy Katy’s characters. Which I am sure if you follow the blog, you would already know that.
Proposing to Preston is about falling in love at the wrong time. Everything doesn’t always happen when it is supposed to, but true love will always prevail.
I am sure you have been through something in life where everything seems perfect, but the timing is never right. “The Timing Is S***” In this book will discover that no matter how big your heart is, how much you love someone, life has to go. In life we go through days of self-building. We are constantly changing throughout time. We are always looking for a way to be a better person.
Preston has such a huge heart, and he loves as hard as he can. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He knows what he wants, and he doesn’t want to wait or even let go.
Else is discovering who she is in the big world. She has changed a lot of who she is, but you can never change your past, or who you are. She will learn that throughout the book. She went from Mennonite to a regular person. She went from being a farm helper to acting. She loves what she does, but she doesn’t think love should stand in her way.
When the two are together they are inseparable. They have a love that you can feel throughout the words on the page. You fall in love with them as a couple. Preston loves Else so much he rushes to marry her. He wants to keep her all to him. He wants to love her so deep that he never wants to be alone again. Else gets a promotion of a life time, and she takes it. She thinks Preston will always be by her side. What she doesn’t understand is Preston wants her to be his side, but he wants her to stay where they are. Home.
